4. Catholic Sites
Gò Thị Parish is seen as the cradle of Qui Nhơn Diocese. French Bishop Cuenot Thể of Đàng Trong Vicariate chose this place to be the vicariate curia. The prelate built seminaries, convents and orphanages here. Gò Thị Council was also held here to develop priestly formation for indigenous students, carry out missionary work for ethnic groups in the Central Highland and make plans to divide the vicariate. Gò Thị is also home of Martyr Andrew Nguyễn Kim Thông, a lay leader.

Mằng Lăng Parish is home of Blessed Andrew Phú Yên, the first witness of faith of the Church in Việt Nam. He was killed in 1644 and beatified in 2000.
Mằng Lăng parish was named the pilgrim center for young Catholics and catechists.
