It had 78 parishes served by 96 priests, 233 religious, 29 major seminarians, 45 seminary candidates and 722 catechists. In a land area of 11,664 square kilometers, the diocese covers Đà Nẵng City and the neighboring Quảng Nam province.
As of December 31, 2010, Kontum Diocese, home to tens of ethnic minority groups, had 260,875 Catholics (86,346 Kinh or majority Vietnamese and 174,529 ethnic people) among a total population of 1,707,451. It had 74 parishes, 92 priests, 407 religious, 43 major seminarians, 45 seminary candidates and 3,256 catechists. The 25,110-square-kilometer diocese covers the two provinces of Gia Lai and Kon Tum.
